Job Title: General Manager (GM) – Finance and Accounts

Description
- We are looking for aGeneral Manager (GM) of Finance and Accounts to lead the financial operations of our organization within the agriculture sector.
- The GM will be responsible for overseeing financial management, accounting, budgeting, and reporting functions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- This is a key leadership role that will work closely with the senior management team to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Lead the development and execution of financial strategies to support business objectives. Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning to ensure profitability and sustainability.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Provide insightful financial analysis to the senior management team to support decision-making.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow management, ensure liquidity, and manage working capital efficiently. Develop and implement strategies for managing short-term and long-term financial needs.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Implement and monitor financial controls, systems, and policies to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards. Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Cost Management & Efficiency: Evaluate and optimize cost structures, identify areas for cost savings, and improve operational efficiencies across the organization. Provide financial insights on improving profitability.
- Taxation & Auditing: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage corporate tax planning. Oversee internal and external audits, working with external auditors to ensure proper financial oversight.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to meet organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies, to manage financial and accounting matters.
- Financial Systems & Technology: Oversee the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes. Leverage technology to enhance reporting and accounting accuracy and efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications(e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is preferred.
- Proven experience(10-15 years) in finance and accounting management, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in the agricultural or related industries.
- Strong knowledgeof financial management, accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a finance team.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex financial data and present actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial softwareand enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detailand ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
