Children stronger than war? Absolutely. But they can’t do it alone. That’s why War Child provides mental (emergency) aid to children in conflict areas. Our method is based on science. But it fits seamlessly with the world of experience of children. The result? Unique and proven effective methods for mental aid, education and protection. Packaged as sports, games and creative activities. We stimulate their natural resilience. We playfully remove the war from a child. So that they can slowly and dare to believe in the future again.
Who are we
At War Child Netherlands – a closely collaborating team of over 50 passionate professionals – we do everything we can to make as much impact as possible for our mission. We implement programs for children and parents who have fled to the Netherlands, engage in advocacy, work on our positioning and reputation and are committed to receiving as much support as possible from, among others, Dutch individuals, companies and foundations.
Team Fundraising plays an important role in this. The three underlying clusters all have their own focus and work closely together with each other and with the other teams. Within the cluster ‘Relational Fundraising’ we focus on personal relationships with companies, major donors and foundations.
For this cluster we are looking for a Fundraising Support Officer, who will support the team and enable the relationship managers to fully focus on maintaining and expanding our valuable collaborations.
