We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all food and beverage operations within the resort, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality of food and beverage offerings, drive revenue growth, and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to develop and update menus, ensuring variety, creativity, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage food and beverage costs, inventory levels, and wastage to maximize profitability.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise food and beverage staff, ensuring exceptional service delivery and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source high-quality ingredients and beverages from reliable suppliers at competitive prices.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competition to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably within the resort or hotel industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple food and beverage outlets, driving revenue growth, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, cost control, and quality assurance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and drive profitability.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff, and suppliers.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, licensing requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in food and beverage management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
