Job Title: Floor Supervisor

Position Overview

  • The Floor Supervisor at Milk & Honey Lagos is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, managing the bakery team, ensuring the continuous availability of products (specifically pastries), and maintaining an excellent customer experience.
  • This role ensures that customers receive timely orders and that all store activities run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Store Supervision:

  • Oversee the general operations of the store to ensure it runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in the store environment.
  • Ensure the store is always stocked with the full range of pastries and bakery products.
  • Manage the flow of customers to ensure that orders are processed in a timely manner.

Team Management:

  • Supervise and guide the bakery team to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Assist with schedule shifts and manage daily tasks to ensure the team operates smoothly.
  • Train, mentor, and support bakers in product preparation and quality control.
  • Foster a positive work environment and maintain team morale.

Product Management:

  • Monitor product inventory levels to ensure that pastries and baked goods are always available for customers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and inventory managers to restock products as needed.
  • Ensure products are properly stored, labeled, and displayed to maintain freshness and quality.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction by ensuring an excellent in-store experience.
  • Help customers with product recommendations or questions as needed.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all products meet Milk & Honey Lagos’ high standards of quality.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure that baking processes are followed correctly, and finished products are up to standard.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain consistency and freshness.

Reporting:

  • Report daily on store performance, product availability, and any challenges faced.
  • Work closely with the store manager to provide insights on areas for improvement or process optimization.

Qualifications
Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role in a retail, bakery, or food service environment.
  • Experience in managing a team, specifically in the food and beverage industry, is highly preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of bakery operations and inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
