We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fire Brachman

Location: Sabon Wuse, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The fire brachman plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of the firefighting department by monitoring safety systems, coordinating reponses, and assisting in fire prevention and emergency operations.
  • This role requires vigilance, quick decision-making, and effective communication to support fire safety and firefighting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain fire safety systems and equipments within the department.
  • Act as the primary contact for fire-related alerts and emergencies, ensuring quick communication between teams.
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of firefighting tools and equipments.
  • Conduct routine checks on fire extinguishers, alarms, and other safety devices to ensure functionality.
  • Support fire prevention activities, including inspections and drills.
  • Respond promptly to fire incidents, assisting in containment and rescue operations as needed.
  • Document and report incidents, inspections and maintenance activiyies accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and departmental policies.
  • Collaborate with fire safety officers and firefighters to providfe logistical support during emergencies.

Qualification

  • B.Eng / HND in Engineering or other related fields.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience.
  • Prior experience in a fire department is an advantage
  • Certification in fire safety systems.
  • Physically fit and able to perform duties involving manual labor.
  • Willigness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
