Job Description
- This role will be responsible for executing high-quality finishing works on construction projects, ensuring that all finishes meet the company’s standards, specifications, and client expectations.
- The role requires strong technical skills in plastering, tiling, painting, flooring, carpentry, and other finishing works, while adhering to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute finishing works such as plastering, screeding, tiling, painting, flooring, cladding, partitioning, ceiling installation, and other related works.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions to deliver precise finishes.
- Ensure finishing works are carried out to the highest quality, free from defects, and within specified tolerances.
- Supervise and guide helpers, artisans, and subcontractors on finishing tasks as required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and client expectations.
- Maintain proper use and care of finishing tools, equipment, and materials.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Report progress, challenges, and material requirements to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
- Assist in rectifying snag lists, touch-ups, and final detailing before project handover.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in building construction with a strong focus on finishing works.
- Demonstrated experience in high-standard residential, commercial, or civil projects.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices.
- Strong practical skills in all types of finishing works (plaster, paint, tile, carpentry, screed, ceilings, etc.).
- Ability to interpret drawings and apply specifications accurately.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering superior quality finishes.
- Problem-solving ability and a proactive work approach.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
