Context of the role

  • Girl Effect is looking for a Finance, operations and admin specialist to support the team in Nigeria.
  • From a finance perspective, you will support the team in recording expenses in the Salesforce system, handling organization admin and operations roles that includes support of day to day logistics and administration activities, ensuring that those activities uphold the organizational policy and best practices in all aspects of implementation.

What you will do

  • Support the management of accounts payable by uploading invoices in the accounting software and make necessary follow up for payment
  • Reconciling the accounts payable
  • Supporting in E-Filing of Taxes and Statutory returns
  • Supporting the office administration and different organization logistics
  • Maintaining inventory of office supplies and own re-ordering processes
  • Supporting admin related tasks including travel arrangements for staff traveling in and outside of their region or for international visitors including flight bookings, Visa arrangements and ground transport and transfers
  • Assisting in registration of events/ meeting participants and coordinating all meetings/ events logistics
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support as needed to staff
  • Manage mobile money payments to participants in trainings and reconcile mobile money report on monthly basis
  • Any other Operational and admin activities assigned by the organization

Who you are

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, finance or business administration, CPA or CPA trainee
  • Proficient in MS office especially Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency in mind
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • High levels of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Minimum experience required

  • 3 – 4 years of experience in operations, administration, accounting or/and finance.
