Community Life Advancement Project has over fifteen (15) years of experience in OVC service delivery in the country. As sub-recipient to notable USAID and CDC partners, like Pact REACH Project, Hope World Wide ACCORD Project, Management Sciences for Health ProACT and CaTSS Project, ECWES LOCATE Project, HIFASS LOPIN -3 Project, PHI-IPSAN project, APIN-iCARES Project, IHVN-ACHIEVE Project, CIHP, ActionAid, etc, we have a reasonable pool of experienced program personnel who have employed case management procedures in enrolling and providing need-based services / care and support for over 100,000 vulnerable children across several states and achieved desired outcomes per thematic area of OVC programming and generally meeting the set objectives of each project implemented. Some of the states we have implemented OVC projects include: Kogi, Imo, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Niger, Nasarawa, Benue, Taraba, Gombe, Bauchi and Adamawa States.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage CLAP’s day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and monitor CLAP Project budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and CLAP’s financial policies.
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions, including expenses and revenues.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage financial risk by identifying and addressing any irregularities.
  • Support program managers in budget planning and financial management.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Officer or in a similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
