POSITION: Human Resource Officer
Location: Abuja

Objectives:

The position of HR Officer consists of supporting the planning, directing, and coordinating of HR management activities within the Unit. The HR Officer is also to support in maintaining HR Data by retrieving, gathering, cleaning, and interpreting the organisation’s data to answer a question, solve a problem or reach meaningful conclusions for strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Being actively involved in supporting recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting advertisements, and managing the hiring process.
  • Support in administering compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
  • Support in the onboarding process of Teams Members and ensure the provision of work tools to them.
  • Management of recruitment tracking system to ensure there are no gaps in recruitment by identifying staff vacancies and recruiting, interviewing, and selecting applicants.
  • Work with technology teams, and manage data from primary and secondary sources for decision-making.
  • Design and carry out surveys; analyze survey data; liaise with internal and external clients to understand data content thoroughly and report to the HR Manager.
  • Clean and dissect data to remove unnecessary information; identify areas to increase the efficiency and automation of HR processes.
  • Maintain personnel records and files and ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate, and complies with relevant legislation.
  • Keep all HR Data and ensure information is readily available for use.
  • Interpret data and analyze results using Excel and HRIS to provide ongoing HR reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • BSc in Human Resources or a related field. Further training will be a plus
  • Other professional qualifications are desirable.
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • At least 4 years post-graduation experience in HR
  • Highly computer literate with high proficiency in Excel, MS Office, Power BI, and other related software.
  • Good experience in Database management skills
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying and provide the required support.
