Job Description
- We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Graduate Farm Supervisor to oversee and coordinate farm operations, ensuring productivity and compliance with best agricultural practices.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising farm workers, assigning daily duties, and monitoring the progress of farming activities, with a particular focus on crop farming.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of farm workers.
- Assign and monitor specific tasks to farmers to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Provide guidance and support to workers in line with best agricultural practices.
- Oversee crop farming activities, including land preparation, planting, irrigation, weeding, pest/disease control, and harvesting.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of farm equipment and tools.
- Keep records of farm operations, input usage, and crop performance.
- Report progress and challenges to management regularly.
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards on the farm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Crop Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Completion of NYSC program (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of crop farming practices and farm management.
- Good leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team effectively and work under minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
