Job Summary
- Our client is a group of companies in Nigeria. Due to expansion, they need a Facility Manager
- The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, security, and functionality of all company facilities.
- This includes managing day-to-day operations, coordinating repairs and renovations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimizing facility usage for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage service contracts and supervise third-party vendors (security, cleaning, HVAC, etc.).
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor facility budgets and manage cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify issues and improvements.
- Coordinate office space planning and relocation projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and facility usage.
- Ensure optimal utility management (power, water, HVAC systems, etc.).
- Respond promptly to emergency situations or urgent issues as they arise.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in facility or operations management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
- Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and service-level agreements.
- Working knowledge of safety standards and building codes.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
