Notify Health Pilot & Needs Assessment
Notify Health seeks a partner organisation to support preparing and implementing a small-scale pilot of our vaccination reminder intervention in Nigeria. We would like to pilot in one of the following states: Benue, Cross River, Imo, Kogi, Nasarawa, or Ogun
Notify Health’ is a non-profit with the goal of increasing vaccination rates of routine childhood immunisations by sending automated reminder messages (e.g. SMS, automated call) to caregivers through a mass-messaging IT system. We plan to enrol newborn children and their caregivers into our programme by creating a digital database of children’s birth dates and caregiver’s phone numbers, for example from paper records at vaccination facilities.
We seek a CAC-registered partner ideally with experience working on projects with personal patient information for one or both of the following activities:
Conduct a 3-4 week needs assessment in August including running focus groups, interviews, facilitating meetings with key stakeholders (e.g. health facility/health ministry) and collating data from paper records at health facilities.
Support implementation for the 3-month pilot with up to 5,000 children/caregiver pairs starting in October, primarily the digitisation of health records and conducting phone surveys.
Additionally, ahead of the pilot, Notify Health co-founders plan to visit one or more states in Nigeria to assess operational feasibility and start a dialogue with State and Local-level Government stakeholders for Primary Healthcare as well as health facility leadership. We hope to use this opportunity in June 2024 to meet in-person with potential implementation partners and invite you to facilitate initial meetings with the above stakeholders and their communities.
In the future, Notify Health plans to potentially roll out the reminder program to the state or national level and might require further support for larger tests or operational activities.

Following an initial review of applications received we will contact you with details on potential further selection rounds. We plan to use a staged approach, with selection for the in-person meeting or needs assessment not guaranteeing ultimate selection for the pilot.
