WHAT WE DO …
INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY(SI) is an association of’international humanitarian aid which, for more than 40 years, has been providing relief to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating, eating, eating, S’abriter. Particularly engaged in the fight against diseases related to unhealthy’, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions an expertise in the field of’access to drinking’water,’sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in that, essential, food security and means of’. Present in about twenty countries, SI – 2000 teams in total composed of’expatriates, national staffs, permanent staff at headquarters, some volunteers…intervene with professionalism and commitment in respect of cultures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
General objective :
The regional expert on Ethics and Compliance shall provide countries under his supervision with independent and objective assessment and support on issues related to anti-abuse, internal audit, etc, compliance, risk management and external audit in relation to specific donors.
He/she oversees the countries of the office to which he/she is assigned (Afghanistan, Myanmar, South Sudan and Nigeria)
Responsibilities and core activities :
- Conduct organizational or ad hoc internal audits based on a risk approach.
- Coordinate and assist country teams in responding to external audits in the field.
- Strengthen prevention strategies, including by raising awareness of abusive behaviour.
- Monitor and support notifications of allegations to ensure appropriate treatment.
- Conduct or contribute to administrative inquiries, if necessary.
- Conduct or support due diligence exercises on previously identified local partners.
- Ensure the recording of recommendations as well as the regular monitoring of their implementation.
- Play an active role in identifying, assessing and formalizing risks at the country level.
- Ensure the functional management of managers and coordinator.s Ethics & Compliance in countries.
The main challenges :
- Integrate this new position into the existing schemes between countries, the regional unit and the functional departments
- Adjust its positioning between countries with and without local resources in terms of ethics and compliance
- Manage priorities and adapt to unforeseen events
- Maintain consistent compliance standards and guidelines tailored to different contexts.
Priorities for the first 2/3 months :
- Field visits according to the priorities defined by the/the Regional Director and by the annual internal audit plan.
- Follow up on existing recommendations with missions.
- Follow up notifications of’allegations and conduct /contribute to associated investigations
YOUR PROFILE
Formation
- Bachelor’s degree in auditing, social sciences, accounting, human rights or any other related field. Recognized certifications in internal audit are appreciated.
Experience
- Experience of’at least 4 years in internal and external’audit.
- Experience in the management of’abus claims and the conduct of’administrative investigations.
- Experience in the NGI sector and/or grant-based organizations.
- Experience working with SI (or a similar organization) would be an asset.
Specific skills and experience :
- Ability to make their work and expected results accessible to non-technical colleagues.
- Demonstrated a high cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Diplomacy and sense of coordination (team spirit)
- Skills in problem solving and analysis, with the ability to assess challenges and recommend solutions.
- Excellent communication, organization and prioritization skills, and ability to carry out multiple tasks head-on.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Autonomy & curiosity.
- Knowledge of’informatics with a very good command of the MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of software such as SAGA, HOMERE, Link is a plus.
Language :
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and oral
IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
- Position based at the headquarters of Solidarity International in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy Metro) with frequent field deployments (50%).
- Fixed term contract of 7 months, framework status. Contract until 31 December 2024_ Probable renewal possibilities.
- Gross monthly salary of : 3183€ or 3316€ according to the salary grid of the head office
- Possibility of working from home: 4 or 12 days of telework or 100% telework with 3 mandatory days per month at the headquarters (package TT paid monthly).
- Leave : 2.0833 CP /month and 1 day of RTT / full month of work
- Mutual health (80%), restaurant tickets (60%), Transport Ile de France (50%) supported by the’association
- Insurance taken care of during field trips and 1 day of recovery per weekend spent on mission.
