About the role

The role will support Christian Aid’s implementation for Entrepreneurship Ecosystem MSMS Development in the Youth – In – Work Project in Adamawa State, Nigeria, ensuring Entrepreneurship Development activities is effectively planned for, incorporated and functioning optimally across multiple projects locations in the humanitarian/development sector. The role holder will provide all the necessary supports to the Project Manager/Team Leader where necessary, develop and oversee implementation of approaches to increase the ability of MSMEs to grow, including the provision of additional business development services including increasing access to markets and finance. He/she will develop and oversee the implementation of approaches to develop strong entrepreneurship ecosystems and foster enhanced entrepreneurship and the creation of new MSMEs.

The role holder will also develop viable business models for project participants and identify partner institutions to offer entrepreneurship trainings and linkages to additional business development services.

The role holder will be representing CAID in sector working groups meetings/activities as the need arises, and engage in the right networks, while increasing the profile of CAID Humanitarian and resilience work and its visibility in the region.

About you

  • The role holder should have relevant University degree in a subject related to the project, with at least 3-5-years’ professional experience developing or facilitating training sessions on Entrepreneurship Development for international organizations operating in humanitarian/development contexts, ability to manage complex procedures and situations without compromise, subject Matter Specialist in Entrepreneurship Ecosystem MSME Development, strong analytical and writing skills, working knowledge of English.
  • She/he has at least 3 years humanitarian/development response experience in Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Development programming, is familiar with Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Development needs and intervention in Northeast Nigeria, ability to provide training, mentorship, and technical assistance to MSMEs to improve their business skills and competitiveness.
