We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Inspector

Location: Rivers

Responsibilities

  • This position requires working in a challenging offshore industrial environment on platforms or vessels.
  • Conduct material receiving inspections for all electrical equipment, cables, and components to verify they meet project specifications and are free from damage.
  • Inspect the installation of electrical cables, conduits, junction boxes, lighting fixtures, and power distribution panels.
  • Verify the proper termination and meggering of cables and ensure all connections are secure.
  • Witness and document all electrical-related testing, including continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and function tests for motors and other equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and electrical schematics to ensure all work is carried out correctly.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, test packs, and quality documentation.
  • Coordinate with Electrical Technicians and other team members to resolve any non-conformances or quality issues.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEC, API) and client specifications.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure electrical systems are ready for operation.

Job Requirements

  • A relevant technical certification in instrumentation inspection is required.
  • A degree in ElectrialEngineering field is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 8years of experience as an Instrument Inspector, with at least 4years specifically in an offshore oil and gas environment, with a proven track record of working on the Bonga FPSO.
  • Proven experience inspecting instrumentation for maintenance, construction, and turnaround projects.
  • The candidate must hold valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET, OSP, and a valid medical certificate.
