Job Description
- The preferred candidate will oversee HVAC equipment, duct, piping, and fittings installations, ensuring they are completed within or under the budgeted labor hours, following the Project Manager’s guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes schedules, supervises, the work of skilled Duct men, and oversees the fabrication, installation of duct systems.
- Supervise the installation of ventilators, louvers, dampers, grills, registers, and diffusers.
- Inspects the installation of duct systems while work is in progress and upon completion to determine conformance to specifications.
- Evaluates and determine requirements and material needs for various projects and order material for any specific project.
- Interprets specifications and company policies to subordinates and/or contractors and enforces safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other subcontractors from different trades.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
- B.Eng. / HND, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of Duct Works experience.
- Must be able to manage large crew sizes on a consistent basis and complete projects on schedule.
- Must have completed at least 6 months or 1 project satisfactorily.
- Must be able to read shop drawings and do any material take-off.
- Must be able to conduct leakage testing.
- Must be able to sketch duct for fabrication.
- Must be able to solve coordination issues on projects without direct input from Project managers/engineers.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects dealing with different Contractors at the same time.
Budget
N350,000 – N500,000 gross per month.
