Job Title: Driver

Responsibilities
Safe Driving:
- Operate office vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Ensuring that the PSIN Vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking and safe
- Ensure vigilant and adjust route to avoid heavy traffic and unsafe areas.
- Assisting with the loading and offloading of staff luggage, products, and materials.
- Ensuring that the PSIN Vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking and safe.
- Ensure timely Transport staff, guests and other personnel to and from various destinations, including on trips which may last for several days.
- Maintain a log-book for all tasks all trips, fuelling and maintenance
- Ensure vehicles are in sound mechanical condition, ready for program activities and conducts daily checks and maintenance.
- Always maintain the vehicles in a clean condition.
- Ensure vehicles have all essential accessories, such as umbrella, map, fire extinguisher, toolkit, torch, medical kit etc.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure service schedules are adhered to.
- Plan routes and estimate requirements for field trips, preparing funding requests as appropriate.
- Fulfil other duties as picking up and delivering items and running errands.
- Test drive office vehicles to be able to guide external service providers on what to do on Vehicles; also to verify work done by external service providers upon return of the vehicle from the garage.
- In collaboration with other key staff support office in the handling of office and house hold equipment
- Ensure vigilant and adjust route to avoid heavy traffic and unsafe areas.

Vehicle Maintenance:
- Regularly inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire checks, and battery inspections. Report any issues to the supervisor
- Ensure vehicles are in sound mechanical condition, ready for program activities and conducts daily checks and maintenance.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle use, mileage, and maintenance. Submit required documentation as per organisation policies. Maintain a logbook for all tasks all trips, fuelling and maintenance.
Customer Service:
- Provide courteous and professional service to all passengers, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience.
Compliance:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and confidentiality.
Emergency Response:
- Respond appropriately to any emergencies or accidents, following company protocols and reporting incidents to the relevant authorities and the Program Operations Lead.
Qualifications
- A senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
- evidence of at least 3 years working experience in international health organizations.
- Has successfully completed trade-test 1, 2 & 3 with certification.
- Can read and speak the English Language, including being able to read traffic sign, complete forms, and converse with occupants.
- Has a Currently valid motor Vehicle operator’s License issued by FRSC.
- Passionate about working in international health organizations.
- Proven ability to work with many people across diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with local roads and routes; ability to use navigation tools.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, basic mechanical skills, and attention to detail.
- Attributes: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. A professional and courteous demeanor is essential
- Reference will be required.
- The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.
