Job Title: Director, Technical

Job Function
- The role is accountable for the formulation of the Logistics Technical strategy and associated practice delivery plan aligned with the approved strategic objectives.
Key Performance Areas
- Develop the Logistics Technical strategy for the region
- Accountable for the Fleet strategy which includes amongst other, acquisitions, maintenance and disposals
- Partner with business units in the development of fit for purpose designs
- Responsible for fleet related innovation and continuous improvement
- Assist with the development and implementation of the Logistics decarbonisation strategy
- Fleet category lead assisting Procurement to negotiate supplier agreements
- Support for initiatives as undertaken by the executive leadership from time to time
- Analysis of costs across various business units to ensure best in class costs are achieved
- Ensure standardised processes and policies are deployed across the business units
- Buildings facilities management
- Formulate functional or operational budget to ensure that the strategic deliverables are adequately budgeted for
- Establish and maintain a network of sustainable stakeholder relationships
- Formulate integrated service delivery frameworks to ensure exceptional stakeholder service
- Manage talent and succession
- Align people performance goals to support the achievement of the above strategies

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Advanced Diploma in a field related to the position
Skills and Experience Required:
- 8 – 10 years technical experience in a similar environment, with at least 6 years business leadership / specialist experience
- People Management and Development skills
- Budgeting and Cost Management
- Business and Operations Management.
