University of Uyo (UNIUYO) is located in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The university was formerly known as the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS). On October 1st, 1991 the Federal government of Nigeria established it as a federal university and the name was changed to the University of Uyo. The university inherited students, staff, academic programmes and the entire facilities of the erstwhile University of Cross River State established by Cross River State in 1983. Academic activities commenced during the 1991/92 academic session. UNIUYO has 12 faculties, the postgraduate school and the school of continuing Education.

Qualifications and Experience
The right Candidate for the job must possess:
- A good Master’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply / Business Administration / Statistics / Financial Studies / Law / Computer Sciences / Accounting / Economics / Engineering / Architecture / Technology / Marketing / Insurance / Quantity Survey / Entrepreneurship and Capital Market and other relevant disciplines;
- At least twenty-one (21) years cognate experience; and 15 years post- qualification professional cognate experience and must have spent at least five (5) years on the post of Deputy Director (Procurement);
- Ability to perform within the University System;
- A good and practical knowledge of computer application;
- A person of proven integrity.
Salary and Conditions of Services
Salary:
- N4,058,262.00 – N5,316,520.00 / Annum (CONTISS 15)
Conditions of Service:
- The Conditions attached to the position are as generally applicable in the Nigerian University system, the public Service of Nigeria and as may, from time to time, be determined by the University Governing Council.
- The appointment shall be on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
