Job Title: Culinary Manager

Job Description

  • We are looking for an experienced Culinary Manager to oversee the operations of our central kitchen while driving recipe development, process standardization, and food quality across all outlets.
  • This role is critical in ensuring consistency, innovation, and efficiency in how we prepare and serve our food.

Responsibilities
Central Kitchen Operations:

  • Manage the daily activities of the central kitchen, ensuring timely and consistent meal production.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and enforce food safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, safety protocols, and cleaning schedules.

Recipe Development & Standardization:

  • Lead the development and standardization of key recipes, including suya spice, waffles, and crepes.
  • Train kitchen teams on updated recipes and food prep procedures.
  • Maintain quality control in collaboration with the QC team to ensure consistency and minimize waste.

Process Improvement & Documentation:

  • Establish and document kitchen SOPs for food preparation, processing, and packaging.
  • Set guidelines for the centralized processing of produce, meats, and semi-finished goods.
  • Recommend kitchen layout improvements and standardize tools and equipment across branches.

Product & Regulatory Coordination:

  • Consult on and implement new product recipes aligned with customer preferences.
  • Lead NAFDAC approval processes for new or updated food items.
  • Prepare regular reports on kitchen performance, product testing, and recipe updates.

Requirements

  • BSc / HND in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a high-volume kitchen, QSR, or food production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary operations, food safety, and recipe management.
  • Proven skills in team leadership, training, and kitchen workflow optimization.
  • Experience with food standardization and regulatory approvals (e.g., NAFDAC) is an added advantage.
