Job Title: Credit Officer

Job Summary
- As the credit officer, you will be tasked with the responsibility of evaluating loan applications to determine the eligibility of an applicant for a loan option, assessing creditworthiness, scrutinizing credit risk, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage overdue accounts across various customer portfolios.
- Collaborate with the legal team for escalated recovery actions, including litigation or repossession where necessary.
- Contact clients via phone, email, or in-person visits to follow up on outstanding debts.
- Negotiations and rescheduling of outstanding facilities with delinquent customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ work experience as a credit and recovery officer in the financial sector is mandatory.
- Proven experience in debt recovery, collections, or credit control.
