Job Title: Credit Analyst
Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze applicants financial statements and credit data to evaluate creditworthiness.
- Perform detailed cash flow analysis to assess the repayment capacity of individual and business borrowers.
- Compare financial metrics and performance indicators against industry standards.
- Prepare and present credit reports and risk assessments to the credit committee.
- Recommend loan structuring options based on risk profiles.
- Monitor loan performance and proactively flag potential default risks.
- Work closely with relationship managers to ensure the quality of credit applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines (e.g., CBN/MFB frameworks).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA) are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Credit Analyst in a microfinance, commercial bank, or financial institution.
- Candidates residing on Lagos Island or in nearby areas are strongly preferred.
- Must be willing to resume immediately or as soon as possible.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis techniques, financial ratios, and cash flow modeling.
- Solid understanding of microfinance operations, lending principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple credit evaluations simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
