Organisation Background
Founded in 2011, the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is an international non-governmental organisation that supports humanitarian aid workers by establishing safety coordination platforms in insecure contexts. INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of free services, including real-time incident tracking, analytical reports, safety-related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff orientations and training.
INSO provides daily support to more than 1200 NGOs operating in 16 of the world’s most insecure countries.
INSO is registered in the Netherlands with its headquarters based in The Hague, the international city of peace and justice.
INSO Cameroon
INSO began operations in Cameroon in 2017 as one of the INSO offices for the Lake Chad Basin and was launched as an autonomous Mission in late 2021. Today, the program has field offices in Maroua and Buea. The national office is located in Yaoundé, the capital. Conflicts between armed groups, intercommunal violence, climate-related disasters and weak socio-economic infrastructure have led to significant humanitarian needs. As part of INSO in Cameroon, you will support local and international NGOs to provide vital aid more safely.
