Job Title: Cost and Proposal / Bidding Accountant
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Develop costing for input into bid and proposal writing
- Work as bid-proposal officer
- Provides analysis in the development and support of contracts, projects and bids
- Determines how decision support systems will provide the information required to make effective business decisions; translates requirements into applications that employ appropriate decision support and reporting tools.
- Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
- Ensure attainment of margins on all jobs and revenue assurance
- Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.
- Make estimates of costs of prospective jobs and pricing and develop into proposal
- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect the prices and profitability of products or services.
- Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional and credible manner.
- Identify opportunities for bid submissions,
- Conduct research, write and edit proposals in a timeous manner,
- Negotiate with stakeholders, and ensure we win the bids.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Construction, or another relevant discipline.
- 5+ years relevant work experience.
- Must be proficient in EXCEL
- Experience as a bid writer is advantageous.
- Excellent industry knowledge and a willingness to keep up with trends.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Deadline-driven and committed to excellence.
- Sound understanding of the facility management industry and the built-up environment will be advantage.
