Job Title: Content Distribution Executive

Position Summary
- This role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the ingestion, management, and delivery of music content across digital service providers (DSPs) such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, and more.
- This role is vital to ensuring our clients’ music is delivered accurately, on time, and in full compliance with platform requirements.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of metadata standards, music rights, and the technical infrastructure of digital distribution.
- They will manage a team and workflow that ensures artists and labels experience seamless release rollouts while maintaining quality, compliance, and platform integrity.Â
Responsibilities
Content Ingestion & Delivery:
- Â Manage and oversee the entire delivery pipeline for music and video content across all supported DSPs.
- Ensure timely and accurate ingestion of releases, including proper formatting of metadata, audio, and artwork assets.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated and manual delivery systems, ensuring high success rates and minimal rejections.
- Liaise with DSPs to resolve ingestion issues, takedown requests, and metadata conflicts.
Metadata & Compliance:
- Enforce metadata and content guidelines in accordance with DSP standards (DDEX, ISRC, ISWC, UPC). Â
- Validate rights ownership and ensure all releases meet copyright, publishing, and territorial restrictions.
- Collaborate with legal and rights management teams to resolve ownership disputes or flag content risks.
Workflow Optimization & Process Management:
- Develop and implement efficient workflows for catalog onboarding, priority release handling, and content QC. Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Lead initiatives to reduce delivery errors, improve turnaround times, and enhance client satisfaction. Â
- Identify and execute process improvements to increase operational efficiency and scalability.Â
Team Management & Collaboration:
- Manage and support a team of content operations specialists or coordinators.
- Coordinate with A&R, client services, product, and marketing teams to align on release timelines and promotional priorities.
- Provide training and support to internal teams and clients on delivery best practices and DSP requirements.Â
Reporting & Analytics:
- Track delivery metrics (e.g., ingestion success rates, rejection causes, turnaround times) and produce regular reports. Â
- Monitor catalog performance and flag potential issues (e.g., content fraud, duplication, misattribution). Â
- Use data to inform operational strategy and recommend improvements to tools and workflows.Â
Requirements & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred (but not required with strong relevant experience)
- 1-3+ years of experience in digital music distribution, content operations, or DSP delivery management.
- Deep knowledge of music metadata standards, digital delivery protocols, and distribution platforms (e.g., Fuga, Believe, The Orchard, or in-house CMS tools).
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with YouTube Content ID, rights conflicts, and takedown processes.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), metadata templates, and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Jira, Asana).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with independent labels, aggregators, or artist platforms. Experience with DDEX and music supply chain standards.
