Job Title: Consultant for Project Support and Learning Management of the Pharmacy Value-based Care Project
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: Twelve months, renewable
The Consultancy Role
- Working closely with the Innovative Care Models team, the consultant will assist in planning and implementing the pharmacy value-based care project activities and documenting project learnings and other relevant information.
- As a Project Support and Learning Manager (PSLM), you will support the Innovative Care Models team in gathering stakeholder requirements, validating them, and developing the innovative care model architecture for the pharmacy value-based care (VBC) project in Nigeria.
- You will utilize your technical and analytical skills to support project activities to ensure their completion and success and implement activities to assess innovative healthcare delivery models through pharmacies.
- You will also develop insights to offer more effective and cost-efficient care delivery to the lower-income target group within Nigeria.
Specific Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the consultant include:
Project Support Activities:
- Develop, plan, and execute activities for the pharmacy VBC project as assigned and deliver the pre-agreed outputs.
- Coordinate the project activities, ensuring alignment with the pharmacy VBC project objectives and timelines.
- Support the team in developing the innovative funnel/business model for the pharmacy VBC project, including identifying key resources, distribution channels, partners, and target market, as required.
- Monitor project milestones and deliverables, identifying and addressing any gaps.
- Regularly report on the project’s progress through reports, dashboards, and presentations to innovative care model team members, partners, and other stakeholders as directed
- Manage data collection, collation, and analysis of project activities, including model utilisation, pharmacy performance, health quality delivery, patient outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and other agreed metrics.
- Support handover activities to applicable stakeholders for follow-up, expansion and subsequent closure as appropriate.
Learning Management:
- Support the development and delivery of onboarding, assessment, training, and capacity-building activities for pharmacy workers and other health workers on the pharmacy value-based care model.
- Develop training materials, manuals, and other resources tailored to the pharmacies’ needs for the above activities.
- Analyse and report on the agreed key performance indicators to determine the pharmacy VBC model’s effectiveness.
- Conduct surveys to collect information on the perception of the participating stakeholders.
- Support the Innovative Care Models team to identify opportunities for improvement in the pharmacy VBC model
- Support the publication of the project activities in collaboration with the Innovative Care Models team, partners, and other stakeholders
- Other responsibilities as may be defined by the Innovation Manager
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Pharmacy, or other Health-related fields
- At least 2-3 years of work experience providing project coordination and learning management, preferably in the healthcare sector or pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of successfully planning, implementing, and managing healthcare delivery projects
- Solid understanding of healthcare delivery models, patient care practices, and pharmaceutical services in Nigeria
- Experience working with pharmacies is an added advantage
- Expertise in data management and reporting tools, with experience in analysing project data and generating reports
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Proactive and forward-thinking, with solid decision-making abilities and the capacity to effectively prioritise tasks
- Flexibility and adaptability to work, with the ability to adjust plans and strategies as required
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project team members, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Full availability for the duration of the project and appreciable level of flexibility in project implementation
- Willingness to travel within Nigeria occasionally.
