Job Title: Community Project Engineer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary
- Plan, design, develop, and deliver projects within schedule and cost.
- Technical input into dedicated project selection and execution.
- Participate in the approval of designs
- Supervise projects/field engineers and consultants in the realization of project objectives
- Maintain dossier of KPIs and prepare reports – daily, weekly, and on demand.
Main Responsibilities
- Receives details of community development projects from the Manager of Project Community Affairs; participates in inspections of proposed sites, preparation of project schedules, and Planning.
- Participate in formulating development projects for communities.
- Prepare project planning (Primavera), budget estimates, work scope, specifications, Bill of quantities (BOQ) & drawings, for community projects.
- Promote project tender and contract documents, bidders list, and contractors’ qualifications for contract award.
- Co-ordinate and supervise the activities and reports of project engineers/project engineers and their various projects/sites to ensure compliance with job specifications and safety procedures/regulations.
- Assist the Manager of Project Community Affairs projects to supervise the services of consulting engineering companies.
- Review and approve construction methodology/procedures and schedule control/work measurement procedures
- Maintain good and necessary relationships with contractors for the achievement of project objectives
- Explain company policies on community developments to beneficiary communities, where necessary, and supervise the community project monitoring committee in the beneficiary communities.
- Ensure the preparation of Weekly/Monthly reports on all projects and keep details of such projects.
- Ensure the update of community affairs KPIs
- Participate in stakeholders’ mapping and updates.
Educational Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with over 10 years of experience in general civil engineering works.
- Project management certification and experience will be an added advantage.
