Job Title: Commercial Operations Lead

Job Summary
- The Operations Lead will serve as the executional backbone of Purelife Health’s growth.
- This role is responsible for translating vision into action, leading daily operations across clinical, pharmaceutical, and logistics units, and ensuring the seamless integration of our physical and digital offerings.
- You’ll manage performance, optimise processes, and drive scale — from Lagos to the continent.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Integration & Execution (30%):
- Oversee and align the day-to-day operations of clinics, diagnostic labs, pharmacies, and e-commerce fulfilment
- Work closely with the Technology Lead to ensure smooth coordination between digital platforms and physical service delivery
- Build operational playbooks and SOPs for every core business unit
- Monitor patient flow, supply chain efficiency, inventory control, and logistics operations
Growth & Scalability (25%):
- Develop and implement scaling strategies to expand Purelife’s footprint in new cities and regions
- Standardise service delivery and quality assurance across all locations
- Support expansion into new revenue lines including B2B partnerships, employer health plans, and digital subscriptions
- Optimise pricing, unit economics, and channel margins for profitability
People & Performance Management (20%):
- Lead and structure operations, customer service, fulfilment, logistics, and clinic management teams
- Define KPIs, drive performance reviews, and implement talent development frameworks
- Build a culture of operational discipline, ownership, and excellence
- Recruit, onboard, and retain talent aligned with Purelife’s scale-up journey
Process Optimisation & Systems (15%):
- Identify bottlenecks, reduce operational costs, and increase throughput across care delivery
- Lead the implementation of tools for reporting, customer engagement, procurement, and task tracking
- Drive data-informed decision making through dashboarding and regular operations reviews
Strategic Planning & Executive Leadership (10%):
- Partner with the CEO in translating company vision into operational plans and strategic targets
- Serve as a thought partner to the Technology Lead in planning product implementation and expansion
- Represent operations in board meetings and investor conversations as needed
- Ensure operational readiness for future fundraising or regulatory audits
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or Healthcare Administration; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 7–10 years experience in operations or general management roles in fast-growing companies
- Prior leadership experience in a healthtech, e-commerce, logistics, or retail healthcare environment
- Strong process-building and analytical capabilities; systems thinker with a bias for execution
- Exceptional team leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks in Nigerian healthcare and digital systems
- Experience working in hybrid brick-and-mortar + tech businesses is a significant advantage.
