We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chemistry Teacher

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • To teach exceptional lessons that engage and challenge all students.
  • To create a supportive and stimulating learning environment in the classroom. that helps all students to make excellent progress and develop as learners.
  • To make a significant contribution to the values and ethos of the school.
  • To actively promote and uphold all school policies, for example behaviour policy, assessment policy.

Responsibilities

  • Be committed to educational excellence and the ethos of the school that will help to ensure our learners excel.
  • Have high expectations for the behaviour and academic progress of our students.
  • Work with the Head of Department and within the context of the school’s curriculum.
  • Teach engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve learners attainment.
  • Educating students on lab safety and ensuring all experiments are carried out responsibly.
  • Setting up tests, assignments, experiments, and grading students fairly.
  • Ensure students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and emotional growth
  • Assess students’ progress with constructive feedback.
  • Organise trips and visits to enhance the learning experience of all students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Physics Teacher( Minimum of 3 years).
  • Experience preparing learners for IGCSE, UTME, WAEC & NECO
  • A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, flexible disposition.
