Job Description
- To teach exceptional lessons that engage and challenge all students.
- To create a supportive and stimulating learning environment in the classroom. that helps all students to make excellent progress and develop as learners.
- To make a significant contribution to the values and ethos of the school.
- To actively promote and uphold all school policies, for example behaviour policy, assessment policy.
Responsibilities
- Be committed to educational excellence and the ethos of the school that will help to ensure our learners excel.
- Have high expectations for the behaviour and academic progress of our students.
- Work with the Head of Department and within the context of the school’s curriculum.
- Teach engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve learners attainment.
- Educating students on lab safety and ensuring all experiments are carried out responsibly.
- Setting up tests, assignments, experiments, and grading students fairly.
- Ensure students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and emotional growth
- Assess students’ progress with constructive feedback.
- Organise trips and visits to enhance the learning experience of all students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in Chemistry or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Physics Teacher( Minimum of 3 years).
- Experience preparing learners for IGCSE, UTME, WAEC & NECO
- A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, flexible disposition.
