We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chef Assistant
Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in preparing, seasoning, and cooking dishes
- Ensure well-cooked and tasty food
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food
- Regulate oven, cooker, and grill temperatures
- Maintain proper food labeling
- Prepare ingredients for cooking
- Keep a clean and orderly kitchen environment
- Monitor stock and report orders
- Clean kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain a presentable appearance
- Report accidents or incidents
Qualifications
- Basic education and understanding of food hygiene and safety
- Culinary certification will be an added advantage
- At least 6 months experience in a standard catering service doing similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent literacy skills
- Knowledge of quality and customer care principles
Personal Attributes:
- Effective communicator
- Good interpersonal skills
- Adherence to Professional dress codes
- Meet deadlines and work efficiently
