Job Description
- These strategic locations have allowed NRC greater reach from the north and south parts of the North-East and North Central region and allowed NRC to contribute to bridging the gap between humanitarian aid and development cooperation, including by focusing on equitable access to basic services and strengthening the rights of displaced people and returnees.
- In addition to the Country Office and the above-mentioned Area Offices, NRC has sub-office structures in Monguno, Mubi, Pulka and Gwoza.

- If you are those people, the Norwegian Refugee Council in Nigeria is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate  
- Complaints and Feedback Mechanism Intern to join our team in Maiduguri, Borno State. You will support in managing the CFM Toll-free line (hotline), receiving, and responding to the calls within the office, and assisting programs and support functions for the NRC Area North Office.
Responsibilities
- Answer NRC hotline calls, record the complaints/feedback applying the template/s prepared for that purpose.Â
- Ensure confidentiality of all information received is upheld and respected.Â
- Regularly update herself/himself with NRC projects to understand the areas of thematic and areas of operation.Â
- Understand well and brief staff and others on NRC Nigeria CFM Accountability Mechanism.Â
- Regularly update herself/himself with policies and procedures of NRC particularly in relation to complaints and feedback.Â
- Understanding of Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP), Core Humanitarian Standards and other relevant global standards.Â
- Assist in the implementation of all CFM activities involving community engagement.Â
- To establish and strengthen and maintain relations with community stakeholders’ local leaders and beneficiaries.
- Collection and upload of data from the field through CFM data tools.Â
- Assist in mobilisation of community members through the community leaders for activitiesÂ
- Working closely with community leaders and beneficiaries under the supervision of the CFM Officer to ensure accountability.Â
- Support the CFM team conduct routine CFM activities (community engagement meetings, participation meetings and information sharing) across all program locations.Â
- Engage with community to identify protection/Accountability issues and report same for immediate and necessary action: thereby strengthening the referral pathway.
- Any other duty assigned.
Requirements
- B.Sc/HND in Political Science or Social Science /Student / Graduate
- Graduating Student with minimum of CGPA 3.5
- Knowledge of the context in Borno state.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skillsÂ
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profileÂ
- Understanding of the community profile, local cultures, traditional and religious structuresÂ
- Fluency in English, Hausa, and any local languages within the community.Â
- Excellent communication skills (written and Oral)Â
- Evidence of significant involvement with the communities is an added advantage
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Maintain high standard of ethics and integrity.
- Communicating with respects.
- Candidates from Borno State preferred.
