Applications are now open for the L’Oréal Fund for Women frontline organizations and associations dedicated to supporting highly vulnerable women and girls through supporting women in extremely precarious situations and combating gender-based and sexual violence, and preventing domestic violence.

By supporting projects that promote access to education, social and professional integration and the protection of women’s rights, the L’Oréal Fund for Women aims to actively contribute to the resilience of women and girls in situations of extreme vulnerability, whether due to disability, refugee status or other factors.

Funding Information
  • Your request cannot be less than €5,000 or exceed €300,000.
Duration
  • For this call for projects, coinciding with the end of the 2023-2026 funding period for the L’Oréal Fund for Women, you can apply for a grant for 12 months only.
Scope
  • The Fund is open internationally and can support organizations operating in their country of registration or in other countries of operation worldwide.
  • In accordance with the territorial criteria of the L’Oréal Fund for Women, priority will be given to organizations whose headquarters are located within the European Union.
  • In the context of an application for financial support for a project, the ideation, implementation, or deployment phases are eligible.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Relevance of the organization:
    • Non-profit or not-for-profit grassroots organization working in the public interest, able to demonstrate eligibility to receive philanthropic funds in the form of private grants, and possessing official statutes.
    • Organization whose income cannot be directly or indirectly distributed to its members.
    • Organization with more than two years of official existence OR an organization with a solid and demonstrable innovative component that addresses a specific need.
    • Organization directly supporting a minimum of 200 beneficiaries per year in total.
    • Organization authorized to issue tax receipts (in France and the European Union).
Ineligibility Criteria
  • Nature of the activity/project for which the request is made: Advocacy activities, construction work, renovations, or the financing of supplies are not eligible.
  • Ethics/Human Rights/environmental responsibility:
    • Activities or organizations that violate recognized UN international standards, including Human Rights, Women’s Rights and Children’s Rights, Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, Health & Safety, Labor Law, Anti-Corruption, Environment & Climate Change, etc., such as:
      • Activities or organizations with negative impacts (controversies…).
      • Activities, organizations, or projects that discriminate against individuals directly or indirectly, based on gender, ethnicity, religion or beliefs (non-exhaustive list).
      • Activities or organizations directly or indirectly involving religious, political, or military content or purposes.
      • Activities or organizations that use or involve forced labor or child labor.
      • Activities or organizations that produce negative and harmful impacts on the environment (non-compliant carbon emissions and pollution), biodiversity, water (etc.), or the well-being and living conditions of populations.
      • Activities that have the potential to negatively affect indigenous peoples and declared or recognized minorities.
