Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, driving business growth, and leading a team of healthcare professionals in a specialized oncology environment.
- This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership, managerial, and healthcare operations skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily performance of all employees at the oncology centre, ensuring the highest standards of care and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the delivery of quality, patient-centered services, with a focus on oncology care and treatment.
- Supervise the overall facility operations, including staff responsible for cleaning, maintenance, and safety tasks, ensuring compliance with healthcare and oncology standards.
- Manage the effective use of Electronic Health Records (EHR) in oncology care, including staff training, coordination of patient flow, and ensuring accuracy of records.
- Schedule patient appointments with oncologists, nurses, radiation therapists, dietitians, and other health professionals to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Develop and manage quarterly and annual budgets for the oncology centre, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols specific to oncology care and operational processes.
- Ensure the timely ordering and stocking of medical, oncology-related supplies, and office supplies.
- Prepare and follow up on proposals aimed at attracting and retaining oncology patients.
- Proactively engage in cross-selling oncology services and enhance patient and community relationships.
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives and strategies to raise awareness of the oncology services and attract new patients.
- Ensure the security and safety of patients, staff, and property within the oncology centre.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports on oncology centre operations for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (H.N.D.) in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital or oncology operations/management, with a strong understanding of oncology services.
- The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in Hausa language
- Professional qualification from a relevant professional body (e.g., healthcare management or oncology) is an added advantage.
- Ability to manage complex, sensitive situations and provide optimal solutions.
- Proficiency in the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and healthcare software.
Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 Net per month.
