We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Caster Fitter CCM

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Caster Fitter CCM is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of continuous casting machines, focusing on the caster segment.
  • They will work closely with production teams to minimize downtime, optimize production, and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and replace caster components, including molds, tundishes, and nozzles.
  • Perform routine inspections and adjustments to ensure proper caster alignment and function.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve caster-related issues, collaborating with operators and maintenance teams.
  • Assist in planning and executing scheduled maintenance shutdowns and upgrades.
  • Develop and implement improvements to caster performance, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product quality and resolve defects.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and operators.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or operation of continuous casting machines.
  • Strong understanding of caster components, mechanics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of maintenance management software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering) preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, and hazardous materials.
  • Wear PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, and heat-resistant suits.
  • Rotate shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
