
PURPOSE
Cashier is accountable for the physical processing of cash transactions and the integrity of physical cash balances in MSSC, strictly respecting and applying the ICRC’s rules on financial management.
RELATIONSHIPS
- Internally, interacts frequently with all staff members on administration-related matters.
- Externally, interacts with a network of contacts at local level, such as bank representatives and daily workers, under the supervision of the Administration.
SCOPE AND IMPACT
- Financial responsibilities: Cash safe not more than CHF 15’000.
- Organizational/operational complexity: Manila Shared Services Center, 1 Center
- Remit: local.
- Back up for welcome activities
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handles the delegation’s cash disbursements and payments, including salaries and working advances.
- Prepares invoices for payment (by cash, check or bank transfer).
- Carries out daily cash count and reconciliation.
- Participates in cash-flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity.
- Handles cash replenishment from the bank.
- Files and reports on relevant documents.
- Ensures respect for financial procedures and guidelines and explains them to “clients”
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years’ work experience in a similar field or NGO
- With a bachelor’s degree in finance and/or Related Programs
- Preferably a CPA, any accounting or treasury background
- Fluent in English
- MS Office expertise
