Life Helpers Initiative (LHI) is a Nigerian national non-governmental, registered in Nigeria and working in different States of the country. From its mission statement, LHI’s aim is to work to maximise all opportunities to empower marginalised people. LHI is implementing a project funded by USAID/Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, titled “Integrated Multisectoral Lifesaving Assistance for Conflict-Affected Households (HHs) in Yobe”. The project is a consortium, comprised of three (3) implementing partners, including, Life Helper Initiative (LHI), CARE International and Save the Children International (SCI) as the leading partner.

Position: Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) Officer
Location: Yobe State.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in CVA feasibility, delivery mechanism and market assessments in both development and emergency contexts.
- Clear understanding of cross cutting issues in the field such as child, disability, gender, and protection.
- Proven management and coordination skills (HR, projects, and stress management).
- Proven ability to translate analysis and evaluation into operational planning and strategy.
- Experience in leading or supporting the development of or the operationalization of CVA standard operating procedure (SoP)
- Experience with program’ monitoring, evaluations, accountability, and learning (MEAL) as well as Program Cycle Management in CVA or any sector.
- Experience with donors such (BHA, ECHO ETC as well as donor reporting.
- Disciplined and able to work and arrive at decisions autonomously and with minimal guidance.
- Excellent report writing skills.
Qualification/Requirement
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration and Management, etc OR, a Degree in any other field but with a Master’s Degree in Project Management, Food Security & Livelihoods related field of study.
- Cash learning Partnership Training CaLP) Preferred e.g. Core CVA Skill for Program Staff. Etc and other recognized CVA Certification. ✓ Strong working knowledge of English (spoken and written) ✓ At least 1 years of professional experience.
- The ability to speak the local Language is an added advantage.
