ABC Transport Plc is a foremost Logistic Company in Nigeria. We commenced operation in road passenger transportation on February 13, 1993 as an off-shoot of Rapido Ventures with a view to running a modern road transportation system in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Cargo Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Summary / Objective
- The staff will be responsible for shipment assessment and raising of shipment assessment advice (light parcels, bulky shipments, household items and charters etc)
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Technical Core Skills
- 100% inspection of items to be contracted on the waybill
- Properly identify, classify, mark, label and document shipment.
- Ascertain and advise the customer on the appropriate packaging required
- Correct price allocation of waybill types
- Raise payment advice for the customer to make payment
- Ensure proper / detailed description of items on the assessment advice or where not practicable use “as per attached list”. A copy of such list should accompany the waybill.
- Tagging and marking of waybills
- Supervise porters on proper packaging of shipments as advised in (b) above
Academic Requirements
- HND / B.Sc in any discipline with a minimum of 2nd class honors.
- Must have completed NYSC program.
- Lives within the Lekki environs.
