The second phase of the Spotlight Initiative Africa Regional Programme (SIARP 2.0), led by the UN Development Cooperation Office for Africa, in partnership with the African Union Commission, aims to improve engagement between civil society, AUC, RECs and UN, ensuring more systematic participation of civil society organizations (CSOs) in decision-making processes, which will enhance the Initiative’s deeper accountability to women’s social movements, youth networks and feminist civil society.
UN Women, as Secretariat for the SIARP 2.0 Civil Society Regional Reference Group (CSRRG), invites nominations from representatives of women’s rights and relevant human rights-based civil society organizations, networks and movements to be part of the SIARP 2.0 CSRRG.
The CSRRG aligns to national and global reference group structures established by the Spotlight initiative and builds on the lessons from the first phase of the Africa Regional Programme.
