In Nigeria, Mercy Corps is addressing the immediate humanitarian needs of vulnerable communities; enabling conflict-affected populations to transform from relief to resilience using market-driven approaches; and supporting community-led peace building efforts.
Purpose / Project Description:
The purpose of this is to provide laptop maintenance and repair services for all laptops purchased by Mercy Corps Nigeria, including those under warranty and out of warranty. The service provider is responsible for ensuring that all laptops are in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime, and maximizing the lifespan of the equipment.
Type of contract: Service Contract
Duration of contract: 12 months (Subject to extension as needed)
Availability: 24/7 on call availability
The Individual/Firm Will Report to and Work Closely: Vendor will work closely with ICT team.
Individual/Firm Activities/Deliverables:
General Maintenance and Repairs
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues on laptops.
- Provide troubleshooting support for laptops.
- Conduct quality checks on repaired laptops to ensure that they meet standards and specifications.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of data on laptops during maintenance and repair processes.
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to laptop maintenance and repair services.
Warranty Repairs
- Handle warranty claims for laptops covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
- Coordinate with laptop manufacturers to ensure warranty repairs are processed efficiently.
- Track and manage warranty claims and maintain records of warranty coverage for each laptop.
Out-of-Warranty Repairs
- Conduct cost-effective repairs for laptops that are no longer under warranty.
- Ensure transparency in repair cost estimates and obtain approval from Mercy Corps before proceeding with out-of-warranty repairs.
Firm Profile:
- Highly experienced with more than 2 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of Computers.
- Certificate of dealership with Lenovo and HP / Apple Computers.
- Standard Nigerian Government business documentations (CAC, Tax documents, etc)
- Experience working with International NGOs

- Proof of dealership in Lenovo and HP/Apple Computers.
- Copy of updated CAC
- TIN Number
- Valid Bank Account
