Job Title: Business Development Manager – Law

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Position Type: Full-time
Reporting to: Principal & Practice Partners
Working Conditions: Monday–Friday (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM).

Job Summary

  • A commercial and litigation law firm in Lekki seeks a Business Development Manager to enhance the firm’s visibility, grow its client base, and create new business opportunities.
  • The role requires expertise in strategic planning, relationship management, and marketing within a legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies.
  • Oversee marketing materials, website updates, and social media strategies.
  • Collaborate with Fee Earners on thought leadership initiatives.
  • Prepare proposals, RFPs, and pitches for client meetings.
  • Monitor industry trends and develop marketing plans for new practice areas.
  • Manage client relationships and organize a client care program.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and manage submissions to rankings and awards.
  • Train team members on business development skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree (minimum of 2:1) in Law, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of business development experience in a professional services setting, ideally within a law firm.
  • Proven leadership and ability to meet business development targets.
  • Strong communication, project management, and CRM experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new tools.
  • Must have relevant experience in a Law firm.
