We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Boiler Operator

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Boiler Operation & Maintenance:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain the 1 TPH electrical automated boiler, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential issues in boiler systems.
  • Maintain boiler logs, pressure levels, water levels, and other critical parameters as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Water Plant Operation:

  • Operate and maintain the 2000 LPH RO water plant and water softener system to ensure a consistent supply of treated water.
  • Monitor water quality parameters such as TDS, pH, and hardness, and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
  • Perform periodic cleaning and maintenance of RO membranes and water softener resins.

Preventive Maintenance:

  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules for the boiler, RO plant, and water softener to avoid downtime.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address mechanical or electrical issues promptly.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards while operating equipment.
  • Conduct routine safety checks and report any anomalies or safety concerns.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of operational parameters, maintenance activities, and incidents.
  • Prepare daily reports on boiler and water treatment system performance for management review.

Utility Management:

  • Optimize energy and water usage to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving utility-related issues impacting plant operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5years of experience with the above responsibilities.
  • Experience with automated boiler systems and familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) operations is an advantage.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
