Job Title: Base and Facility Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Responsibilities
- Carrying out or supervising all maintenance logistics activities in the base (vehicles, fuel consumption, and local infrastructure) according to MSF standards and protocols in order to have the material, infrastructure and vehicles in optimal running conditions
MSF Section/Context Accountabilities
- Supervising the Maintenance Agents under his/her responsibility which includes daily supervision, monitoring of the quality of work and the definition of each person’s task, drawing up their working schedules; and attending logistics meetings and accounting for his activities
- Lead the execution of maintenance of logistics equipment and infrastructure for hospital facility management, cold chain, energy, IT, radio communications and watsan
- Monitor and update the digital tools such as ‘Maintenance Calendar’ and ‘Job Request’ and ensure the timely implementation of preventative and curative maintenance
- Support supervisors and managers with the compilation of orders (Internal Requests) for his sector activity, do the follow-up, and checking their proper reception and state
- Tracking consumption of supplies, batteries, cooking gas, fuel, etc. used in the hospital compound
- Checking the maintenance of the various open spaces (gardens, courtyards…) and ensuring that domestic waste is correctly discarded
- Checking and ensuring the maintenance of MSF premises and facilities, as well as the general water supply, electrical, walls, ceilings etc. and security conditions. In this sense, making inspection visits to assess the rehabilitation needs of facilities.
- Carrying out local purchases and ensuring that the line manager is aware of any problems linked to the quality or availability of the items to be purchased.
- Participating in trainings at the request of the line manager
Requirements
Education:
- Essential Secondary Education.
Experience:
- Desirable experience with MSF or other NGOs.
Languages:
- Local language essential, mission language highly desirable.
