Responsibilities
Baking & Preparation:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, and other baked goods according to recipes.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
- Prepare doughs and batters in advance as needed.
Menu Development:
- Collaborate with management or head chef to create new baked items or seasonal specials.
- Innovate healthy and trending bakery options (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, low-sugar).
Quality Control:
- Ensure all baked goods meet the café’s quality standards.
- Conduct regular checks for freshness and presentation.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and expiry dates.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a minimum of a First School Leaving Certificate with 5 – 10 years of work experience.
