Job Title: Assistant QHSE Manager

Responsibilities
- To lead HSE team in ensuring continual improvement of operational safety management knowledge and application.
- The mission is to support the vessels and Client Satisfaction Chain management in achieving and maintaining sustainable high levels of compliance with Group HSE expectations, based on and aligned with Group HSE Plan requirements.
- To deliver and report on HSE expectationsÂ
- To ensure all incidents are adequately investigated, root causes identified and corrective actions managed for continual improvement
- Ensure OVMSA is updated regularly with good client score
- Follow up with Vessel OVID inspection results for close out with Vessels
- Develope and deploy Yearly QHSE Plan and manage its implementation across the Marine Fleets and onshore
- Manage the accurate and timely reporting of statistics pertaining to HSE.
- Analyse HSE statistics to identify trends and develop Action Plans to minimize incident rates and improve HSE performance.
- Yearly review of the Safety Management System in line with international standard requirements
- Lead HSE campaigns within the organization both on the vessel and onshore
- Ensure adequate plans for emergency preparedness are made within the organization by planning ,training and following up
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent from a reputable institution
- Nebosh IGC or Diploma will be an added advantage
- Masters degree in relavant field will be an excellent advantage Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years work experience within the Oil and Gas industry out of which 2years must be in same function within or outside the organisation.
