Job Title: Assistant Farm Manager
Location: Imo
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Assist the Farm Manager in daily operations of the poultry farm, including feeding, watering, and health monitoring of the flock.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of farm workers to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor and maintain optimal conditions in poultry houses, including temperature, ventilation, and lighting.
- Implement biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Manage inventory of feed, medications, and other farm supplies.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of production schedules.
- Keep accurate records of production, feed consumption, and health treatments.
- Assist in maintaining farm equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working order.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and management of farm staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in poultry farming or livestock management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of poultry health and welfare standards.
- Familiarity with farm management software is a plus.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 / Month.
