The HUB is a place for technologists, social entrepreneurs, government, tech companies, impact investors and hackers in and around Lagos to co-create new solutions to the many social problems in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Admin Support Officer (Maternity Cover)

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: Six (6) months onsite

Job Purpose

  • The Administrative support officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operations of the innovation hub by providing effective administrative, logistical, and operational support.
  • This role is central to enabling the hub’s programs, partners, startups, and teams to function efficiently within a vibrant, collaborative, and innovative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Office and Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a clean, and well-maintained environment.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment; coordinate procurement and vendor relationships.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including program documents, partner databases, staff records, and operational documents.
  • Support onboarding and coordination for program participants, and guests.
  • Coordinate use of meeting rooms, event spaces, and shared facilities.
  • Arrange logistics for meetings, training, events, and hub activities.
  • Support coordination of travel, accommodation, and local transportation where necessary.

Finance & Procurement Support:

  • Track petty cash, office expenses, and vendor payments in alignment with finance team guidelines.
  • Support invoice processing, budget tracking, and timely submission of receipts and documentation.

Customer Service and Liaison:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, partners, and community members.
  • Provide first call support to program participants, ensuring a positive experience in the hub.
  • Support internal communication among staff and teams.

Key Performance Indicators 

  • Timely and  professional support for all stakeholders and program participants with 98% satisfaction rating.
  • Successful logistical planning for all events and meetings.
  • Petty cash, supplies, and admin budgets managed efficiently within approved limits.
  • Up-to-date and organized administrative documentation .
  • Timely procurement, inventory management, and smooth hub operations.
  • Internal and external communication handled professionally and promptly.

Key Competencies / Qualifications 
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years experience in an administrative, operations, or office management role—preferably in a startup, tech, or innovation-driven environment

Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and general digital tools.
  • Ability to manage vendors, suppliers, and internal coordination independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
