Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Isheri, Lagos

Supervises: Finance Officers
Position Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, financial reporting, and ERP integration.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance, sound financial judgment, and a deep understanding of accounting principles in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is essential, and preference will be given to candidates residing around Isheri, Lagos or its environs.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Management:
- Timely and accurate invoicing of customers
- Weekly reconciliation of: Staff accounts, Vendor accounts, Related general ledger accounts.
- Daily and weekly reconciliation of: Sales with production and inventory, Sales collections, Customer accounts with bank statements.
General Accounting Duties:
- Prepare and update monthly prepayment schedules.
- Manage payment ledgers and execute monthly amortization.
- Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, with detailed reports on outstanding items.
- Post and review all necessary accounting journal entries including bank charges.
- Review and validate GL codes monthly and adjust as needed.
- Follow up on outstanding items and staff account balances.
- Present weekly revenue/sales reports and monthly aged receivables.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits.
- Support continuous improvement of internal controls and financial systems.
Food Safety & Quality Management Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to departmental quality and food safety objectives.
- Support implementation and effectiveness of QMS and FSMS (e.g., FSSC 22000).
- Be aware of and address identified quality and food safety risks in work activities.
- Report any food safety hazards or QMS/FSMS non-conformities to the appropriate team.
- Maintain personal hygiene standards and ensure operational control procedures are followed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in progressive finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Proven experience in: Financial data analysis and performance optimization, ERP implementation and financial systems integration, Managing financial risk and driving business results.
- Mandatory: Experience working in the manufacturing sector.
- Experience in FMCG is highly desirable.
