We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accountant
Location: Owerri, Imo

Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily Accounting Activities: Evaluate and manage daily accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and record journal entries while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Financial Statements: Compile and present comprehensive financial statements for review.
- Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to compliance regulations.
- Accounts Payable Management: Manage accounts payable in accordance with contract terms with vendors and suppliers.
- Budget Contributions: Assist in formulating budgets for monthly purchases, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, including ICAN certification.
Skills:
- Strong mathematical and numerical aptitude.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Retail Man, and other accounting software.
- Effective communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
