Thrive HR Solutions Limited – Our client is a start-up toy supplier based in Nigeria dedicated to providing high-quality toys to wholesalers across the nation. They focus on making the procurement process seamless and accessible for our customers by leveraging the power of information technology to streamline ordering and delivery.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Financial Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
  • Record and reconcile daily transactions, including sales, expenses, and bank statements.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights for business decision-making.

Taxation and Compliance:

  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax filings in compliance with local regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial laws and implement necessary adjustments.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and report variances.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Manage accounts payable by ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and ensure prompt collection from customers.

Audit and Internal Controls:

  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and reports.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet business needs.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or a related role, preferably within retail or wholesale industries.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

What We Offer

  • N100,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
  • Lunch.
