In collaboration with the National TB and Leprosy Control Program (NTBLCP) as the Principal Recipient (PR), KNCV will implement the Global Fund Grant Cycle 7 (GC7) Portable Digital Xray (PDX) grant which will deploy 390 portable digital Xray’s across all states of the Federation and the FCT to improve TB case finding. The implementation of Portable Digital xray for Active TB case finding in Nigeria – (IMPACT Project) will scale up the utilization of portable digital X-rays (PDX) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) for TB case finding in hotspot communities and high burden facilities across all 36 states in Nigeria and the FCT. The objectives of this project will be:
- To drive targeted TB screening within identified TB Hot spots, most at risk population and high burden facilities.
- To improve the diagnostic efficiency of the molecular diagnostic tools eg TB LAMP, GeneXpert and Truenat.
- To ensure early TB case finding within the community and thus limiting TB transmission and infection.
- To drive the TB program, scale up of TPT by identifying non presumptive TB among contacts of diagnosed TB cases in the community for TPT.
Purpose of the job
The Account Officer will develop and implement the financial management system for the PDX project. The officer will operate an effective and efficient planning and control cycle, design and maintain the financial and administrative workflows and implement internal control procedures. The officer will implement and maintain relevant IT applications, and will keep accurate, complete, and up-to-date office records for KNCV Nigeria.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Check and assign codes to all financial documents.
- Enter all financial documents into the accounting system.
- Ensure that all project incurred expenses are timely paid, documented and filed.
- Implement annual audit process and related activities. • Maintain an inventory list of all KNCV Nigeria Assets
- Maintain the petty cash accounts.
Develop and maintains an effective professional relationship with KNCV’s Nigeria local banking institutions.
Ensure adherence to all major financial rules and regulations which are described in the KNCV Finance Manual and other appropriate policies. Perform other additional duties as assigned.
Who are we looking for?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance and or Business Management)
- Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Knowledge/experience:
- 3 – 4 years of experience in finance management, accounting and working in a project setting
- Demonstrable experience with accounting and financial reporting in GF/USG supported projects.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software systems
- Excellent Excel skills
- Proficiency in the use of computer application (Microsoft office etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- Must be self-starter with the ability to work in a team, dynamic, solid, and open.
- Must be flexible with absolute integrity, organizational awareness and understanding of cultural differences.
